So, lets click throughand look at a few more pieces of information. You can see,just like the mechanical drawings,we start to get a lot of information hereand a lot more symbols,so now were starting to see things like electrical outlets,and if we looked around here, we could find our TV outlets,and were going to start to see some of our dataand telephone outlets. A lot of information here thatthe electrician or the data installeris going to need to interpret on these drawings. Now, before we leave these drawings, though, I want to skip toone of the last pages in our electrical set of drawings,which is the electrical details,and well just take a look at this one that saysits the voice and data riser detail. And youll see here that it says that theres no scale. This is not to scale. This particular detail is often referred toas a one line drawing. The intent of this one line drawing is to show ushow each one of thesefixtures attaches to,in this case, the riser,or the area where all this wiring home runs to. So, its just trying to show us thatall of the data connections in the kitchenhome run and go at the bottom location on this riser. The next location up belongs to the office. The next location up belongs to the living room. So, in this case, and again, weveoften times refer to this as a one line drawing,and that just means that this detailis not at all showing us how the wires routethrough the building,its just showing us how theyre groupedand how they connect where they terminate. Thats going to end our discussion on the electrical drawings. Again, just keeping in mine, most of the timethe only person thats going to use this drawingis the electrician,or the company thats installing the data connections.
